So, after over a month of being unable to shoot, mainly because of the weather, I finally pulled myself out of bed at 5 am

, skipped breakfast (which is unthinkable for me), drove for 60km, climbed for about half an hour and... missed the sunrise.

I realized I should have started the trip an hour earlier, in order to catch that beautiful light before the actual sunrise. Still, the day wasn't a total photographic waste of time (if you can live with the odd absence of snow in the middle of February).

Shooting info:
- Ciucas Mountains, Romania.
- Tamron 28-75 + Cokin Z121S (ND gradual filter) + some color work in PS

I think you caught the best light here Doru! The sun is high enough to illuminate the mountains, low enough to cast beautiful shadows and soft enough to bring out all texture and detail I don't know what colors that sunrise you lost brought out but this is an excellent photo and it definitely justifies all your trouble to get there!
